I asked my sister, Dara, who is celebrating her very first very own Mother’s Day, what she wanted to do for Mother’s Day. You should know that Dara is back at work and juggling so many balls that she hardly even knew this momentous event was coming up.  So her response to me was, “I just want to be served breakfast in bed.” She didn’t want any hoopla, no fancy (code for expensive) brunch, no tons of relatives that she actually would end up cooking for – all she wanted to do was cuddle up with her husband and her baby, Tate (isn’t that just the cutest name?).  There is so much fanfare, stress and expectations around so many holidays and milestones, that we sometimes forget to take a step back, stay home and just enjoy what this holiday is all about – celebrating the fact that you are a family and enjoying your time together.  She did add that in addition to breakfast in bed – she wants to make sure she was getting FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!  Here’s a really cute pic of Dara and Tate.  Enjoy.
